What is the Network for Conscious Community Development?

The Network for Conscious Community Development is a national not-for-profit organization created and run by members supporting conscious community development practices. The organization was founded in 2014 with a vision of building an organizational network that would foster conscious collaborative relationships among Black leaders and organizations focused capacity building and sustainability in under-resourced Black neighborhoods.

Should I join Network for Developing Conscious Communities?

Many people enjoy their membership with us and find the intentionality of our organization meeting their need to grow consciously and network. Here are some ways to find out more about NDCC:

Are there opportunities to volunteer with Network for Developing Conscious Communities?

Yes! We are currently looking for interested members to help us create and sustain programs. This is a great opportunity to become directly involved in regenerating under resourced neighborhoods. We are looking for members that enjoy planning events logistics and are willing to help us build a movement to change the paradigm of community development in under resourced neighborhoods, particularly those of color.

Which are the differences between organizational and individual membership?

Our organizational members are development agencies, cluster organizations, universities, financial institutions and institutes of competitiveness, companies and multilateral organizations dedicated to fostering economic development. You can apply as individual member if you are a practitioner with a commitment and proven experience in community development.

I work for an organization, should I become an individual or an organizational member?

We recommend you to apply as individual member in the case your organization may decide to not to support our programs in your city, region or country. This way, you and your colleagues will enjoy the full benefits NDCC can provide.

I’m not a NDCC member: Can I participate in NDCC events?

Yes, you can participate in NDCC conferences and seminars as simple guest. However, since as members you can benefit of a special discount-rate for conference participation, we recommend you to join NDCC as a full member.
